Ephesians 3

WYC 1 For the grace of this thing I Paul, the bound of Christ Jesus [the bound of Jesus Christ], for you heathen men, NIV 1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles-- WYC 2 if nevertheless ye have heard the dispensation of God's grace, that is given to me in you. NIV 2 Surely you have heard about the administration of God's grace that was given to me for you, WYC 3 For by revelation the sacrament is made known to me, as I above wrote in short thing, NIV 3 that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. WYC 4 as ye be able to read, and understand my prudence in the mystery of Christ. [as ye reading may understand my prudence in the mystery of Christ.] NIV 4 In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, WYC 5 Which was not known to other generations to the sons of men, as it is now showed to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit, NIV 5 which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God's holy apostles and prophets. WYC 6 that heathen men be even-heirs, and of one body, and partners together of his promise [and together partners of his promise] in Christ Jesus by the evangel; NIV 6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. WYC 7 whose minister I am made, by the gift of God's grace, which is given to me by the working of his virtue. WYC 8 To me, least of all saints, this grace is given to preach among heathen men the unsearchable riches of Christ, NIV 8 Although I am less than the least of all God's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, WYC 9 and to lighten all men [and to enlighten all men], which is the dispensation of [the] sacrament hid from worlds in God, that made all things of nought; NIV 9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. NIV 12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. WYC 13 For which thing I ask, that ye fail not in my tribulations for you, which is your glory. NIV 13 I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory. WYC 14 For grace of this thing I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, NIV 14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, WYC 15 of whom each fatherhood in heavens and in earth is named, [of whom each fatherhood in heaven and in earth is named,] NIV 15 from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. WYC 16 that he give to you, after the riches of his glory, virtue to be strengthened by his Spirit in the inner man, NIV 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, WYC 17 that Christ dwell by faith in your hearts; that ye rooted and grounded in charity, NIV 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, WYC 18 be able to comprehend with all saints, which is the breadth, and the length, and the highness, and the deepness; [that ye may comprehend with all saints, which is the breadth, and length, and highness, and deepness;] NIV 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, WYC 19 also to know the charity of Christ more excellent than science [also to know the charity of Christ above-seeming to science], that ye be filled in all the plenty of God. NIV 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. WYC 20 And to him that is mighty to do all things more plenteously than we ask or understand, by the virtue that worketh in us [after the virtue that worketh in us], NIV 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, WYC 21 to him be glory in the church, and in Christ Jesus, into all the generations of the world of worlds [into all the generations of the worlds of worlds]. Amen. NIV 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
