Galatians 1:18-24

NLT 18 It was not until three years later that I finally went to Jerusalem for a visit with Peter and stayed there with him for fifteen days. NIV 18 Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Peter and stayed with him fifteen days. NLT 19 And the only other apostle I met at that time was James, our Lord's brother. NIV 19 I saw none of the other apostles--only James, the Lord's brother. NLT 20 You must believe what I am saying, for I declare before God that I am not lying. NIV 20 I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie. NLT 21 Then after this visit, I went north into the provinces of Syria and Cilicia. NIV 21 Later I went to Syria and Cilicia. NLT 22 And still the Christians in the churches in Judea didn't know me personally. NIV 22 I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. NLT 23 All they knew was that people were saying, "The one who used to persecute us now preaches the very faith he tried to destroy!" NIV 23 They only heard the report: "The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy." NLT 24 And they gave glory to God because of me. NIV 24 And they praised God because of me.
