Job 25

MSG 1 Bildad the Shuhite again attacked Job: NIV 1 Then Bildad the Shuhite replied: MSG 2 "God is sovereign, God is fearsome - everything in the cosmos fits and works in his plan. NIV 2 "Dominion and awe belong to God; he establishes order in the heights of heaven. MSG 3 Can anyone count his angel armies? Is there any place where his light doesn't shine? NIV 3 Can his forces be numbered? Upon whom does his light not rise? MSG 4 How can a mere mortal presume to stand up to God? How can an ordinary person pretend to be guiltless? NIV 4 How then can a man be righteous before God? How can one born of woman be pure? MSG 5 Why, even the moon has its flaws, even the stars aren't perfect in God's eyes, NIV 5 If even the moon is not bright and the stars are not pure in his eyes, MSG 6 So how much less, plain men and women - slugs and maggots by comparison!" NIV 6 how much less man, who is but a maggot-- a son of man, who is only a worm!"
