Luke 19:23-33

NLT 23 why didn't you deposit the money in the bank so I could at least get some interest on it?' NIV 23 Why then didn't you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?' NLT 24 Then turning to the others standing nearby, the king ordered, 'Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one who earned the most.'" NIV 24 "Then he said to those standing by, 'Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.' NLT 25 "'But, master,' they said, 'that servant has enough already!'" NIV 25 " 'Sir,' they said, 'he already has ten!' NLT 26 "'Yes,' the king replied, 'but to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. But from those who are unfaithful, even what little they have will be taken away. NIV 26 "He replied, 'I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away. NLT 27 And now about these enemies of mine who didn't want me to be their king -- bring them in and execute them right here in my presence.'" NIV 27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them--bring them here and kill them in front of me.' " NLT 28 After telling this story, Jesus went on toward Jerusalem, walking ahead of his disciples. NIV 28 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. NLT 29 As they came to the towns of Bethphage and Bethany, on the Mount of Olives, he sent two disciples ahead. NIV 29 As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, NLT 30 "Go into that village over there," he told them, "and as you enter it, you will see a colt tied there that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here. NIV 30 "Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. NLT 31 If anyone asks what you are doing, just say, 'The Lord needs it.'" NIV 31 If anyone asks you, 'Why are you untying it?' tell him, 'The Lord needs it.' " NLT 32 So they went and found the colt, just as Jesus had said. NIV 32 Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. NLT 33 And sure enough, as they were untying it, the owners asked them, "Why are you untying our colt?" NIV 33 As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, "Why are you untying the colt?"
