Proverbs 11:9-19

NRS 9 With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. NIV 9 With his mouth the godless destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous escape. NRS 10 When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; and when the wicked perish, there is jubilation. NIV 16 A kindhearted woman gains respect, but ruthless men gain only wealth. NRS 17 Those who are kind reward themselves, but the cruel do themselves harm. NIV 17 A kind man benefits himself, but a cruel man brings trouble on himself. NRS 18 The wicked earn no real gain, but those who sow righteousness get a true reward. NIV 18 The wicked man earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. NRS 19 Whoever is steadfast in righteousness will live, but whoever pursues evil will die. NIV 19 The truly righteous man attains life, but he who pursues evil goes to his death.
