Proverbs 1:1-6

RHE 1 The parables of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel, NIV 1 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel: RHE 2 To know wisdom, and instruction: NIV 2 for attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight; RHE 3 To understand the words of prudence: and to receive the instruction of doctrine, justice, and judgment, and equity: NIV 3 for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair; RHE 4 To give subtilty to little ones, to the young man knowledge and understanding. NIV 4 for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young-- RHE 5 A wise man shall hear, and shall be wiser: and he that understandeth shall possess governments. NIV 5 let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance-- RHE 6 He shall understand a parable and the interpretation, the words of the wise, and their mysterious sayings. NIV 6 for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.
