Proverbs 6:24-29

NAS 24 To keep you from the evil woman, From the smooth tongue of the adulteress. NIV 24 keeping you from the immoral woman, from the smooth tongue of the wayward wife. NAS 25 Do not desire her beauty in your heart, Nor let her capture you with her eyelids. NIV 25 Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes, NAS 26 For on account of a harlot one is reduced to a loaf of bread, And an adulteress hunts for the precious life. NIV 26 for the prostitute reduces you to a loaf of bread, and the adulteress preys upon your very life. NAS 27 Can a man take fire in his bosom And his clothes not be burned? NIV 27 Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned? NAS 28 Or can a man walk on hot coals And his feet not be scorched? NIV 28 Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched? NAS 29 So is the one who goes in to his neighbor's wife; Whoever touches her will not go unpunished. NIV 29 So is he who sleeps with another man's wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished.
