Psalm 101

NCV 1 I will sing of your love and fairness; Lord, I will sing praises to you. NIV 1 I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise. NCV 2 I will be careful to live an innocent life. When will you come to me? I will live an innocent life in my house. NIV 2 I will be careful to lead a blameless life-- when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart. NCV 3 I will not look at anything wicked. I hate those who turn against you; they will not be found near me. NIV 3 I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me. NCV 4 Let those who want to do wrong stay away from me; I will have nothing to do with evil. NIV 4 Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil. NCV 5 If anyone secretly says things against his neighbor, I will stop him. I will not allow people to be proud and look down on others. NIV 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure. NCV 6 I will look for trustworthy people so I can live with them in the land. Only those who live innocent lives will be my servants. NIV 6 My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me. NCV 7 No one who is dishonest will live in my house; no liars will stay around me. NIV 7 No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence. NCV 8 Every morning I will destroy the wicked in the land. I will rid the Lord's city of people who do evil. A prayer of a person who is suffering when he is discouraged and tells the Lord his complaints. NIV 8 Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.
