Psalm 16:1-6

NIRV 1 God, keep me safe. I go to you for safety. NIV 1 Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge. NIRV 2 I said to the Lord, "You are my Lord. Without you, I don't have anything that is good." NIV 2 I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing." NIRV 3 God's people who live in our land are glorious. I take great delight in them. NIV 3 As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight. NIRV 4 Those who run after other gods will have nothing but trouble. I will not pour out offerings of blood to those gods. My lips will not speak their names. NIV 4 The sorrows of those will increase who run after other gods. I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips. NIRV 5 Lord, everything you have given me is good. You have made my life secure. NIV 5 LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. NIRV 6 I am very pleased with what you have given me. I am very happy with what I've received from you. NIV 6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
