Psalm 22:1-6

GNT 1 My God, my God, why have you abandoned me? I have cried desperately for help, but still it does not come. NIV 1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning? GNT 2 During the day I call to you, my God, but you do not answer; I call at night, but get no rest. NIV 2 O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, and am not silent. GNT 3 But you are enthroned as the Holy One, the one whom Israel praises. NIV 3 Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the praise of Israel. GNT 4 Our ancestors put their trust in you; they trusted you, and you saved them. NIV 4 In you our fathers put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them. GNT 5 They called to you and escaped from danger; they trusted you and were not disappointed. NIV 5 They cried to you and were saved; in you they trusted and were not disappointed. GNT 6 But I am no longer a human being; I am a worm, despised and scorned by everyone! NIV 6 But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by men and despised by the people.
