Psalm 25

YLT 1 By David. Unto Thee, O Jehovah, my soul I lift up. NIV 1 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; YLT 2 My God, in Thee I have trusted, Let me not be ashamed, Let not mine enemies exult over me. NIV 2 in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. YLT 3 Also let none waiting on Thee be ashamed, Let the treacherous dealers without cause be ashamed. NIV 3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. YLT 4 Thy ways, O Jehovah, cause me to know, Thy paths teach Thou me. NIV 4 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; YLT 5 Cause me to tread in Thy truth, and teach me, For Thou [art] the God of my salvation, Near Thee I have waited all the day. NIV 5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. YLT 6 Remember Thy mercies, O Jehovah, And Thy kindnesses, for from the age [are] they. NIV 6 Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. YLT 7 Sins of my youth, and my transgressions, Do not Thou remember. According to Thy kindness be mindful of me, For Thy goodness' sake, O Jehovah. NIV 7 Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD. YLT 8 Good and upright [is] Jehovah, Therefore He directeth sinners in the way. NIV 8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. YLT 9 He causeth the humble to tread in judgment, And teacheth the humble His way. NIV 9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. YLT 10 All the paths of Jehovah [are] kindness and truth, To those keeping His covenant, And His testimonies. NIV 10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant. YLT 11 For Thy name's sake, O Jehovah, Thou hast pardoned mine iniquity, for it [is] great. NIV 11 For the sake of your name, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great. YLT 12 Who [is] this -- the man fearing Jehovah? He directeth him in the way He doth choose. NIV 12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. YLT 13 His soul in good doth remain, And his seed doth possess the land. NIV 13 He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. YLT 14 The secret of Jehovah [is] for those fearing Him, And His covenant -- to cause them to know. NIV 14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. YLT 15 Mine eyes [are] continually unto Jehovah, For He bringeth out from a net my feet. NIV 15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare. YLT 16 Turn Thou unto me, and favour me, For lonely and afflicted [am] I. NIV 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. YLT 17 The distresses of my heart have enlarged themselves, From my distresses bring me out. NIV 17 The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish. YLT 18 See mine affliction and my misery, And bear with all my sins. NIV 18 Look upon my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins. YLT 19 See my enemies, for they have been many, And with violent hatred they have hated me. NIV 19 See how my enemies have increased and how fiercely they hate me! YLT 20 Keep my soul, and deliver me, Let me not be ashamed, for I trusted in Thee. NIV 20 Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. YLT 21 Integrity and uprightness do keep me, For I have waited [on] Thee. NIV 21 May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you. YLT 22 Redeem Israel, O God, from all his distresses! NIV 22 Redeem Israel, O God, from all their troubles!
