GOD'S WORD Translation

New International Version

Psalm 32:1-6

GW 1 Blessed is the person whose disobedience is forgiven and whose sin is pardoned. NIV 1 Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. GW 2 Blessed is the person whom the LORD no longer accuses of sin and who has no deceitful thoughts. NIV 2 Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit. GW 3 When I kept silent [about my sins], my bones began to weaken because of my groaning all day long. NIV 3 When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. GW 4 Day and night your hand lay heavily on me. My strength shriveled in the summer heat. Selah NIV 4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. "Selah" GW 5 I made my sins known to you, and I did not cover up my guilt. I decided to confess them to you, O LORD. Then you forgave all my sins. Selah NIV 5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"-- and you forgave the guilt of my sin. "Selah" GW 6 For this reason let all godly people pray to you when you may be found. Then raging floodwater will not reach them. NIV 6 Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him.
