VUL 1 psalmus David cantate Domino canticum novum quoniam mirabilia fecit salvavit sibi dextera eius et brachium sanctum eius NIV 1 The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice. VUL 2 notum fecit Dominus salutare suum in conspectu gentium revelavit iustitiam suam NIV 2 Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. VUL 3 recordatus est misericordiae suae et veritatem suam domui Israhel viderunt omnes termini terrae salutare Dei nostri NIV 3 Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side. VUL 4 iubilate Domino omnis terra cantate et exultate et psallite NIV 4 His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles. VUL 5 psallite Domino in cithara in cithara et voce psalmi NIV 5 The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth. VUL 6 in tubis ductilibus et voce tubae corneae iubilate in conspectu regis Domini NIV 6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory. VUL 7 moveatur mare et plenitudo eius orbis terrarum et qui habitant in eo NIV 7 All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols-- worship him, all you gods! VUL 8 flumina plaudent manu simul montes exultabunt NIV 8 Zion hears and rejoices and the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments, O LORD.
