Titus 2:1-6

MSG 1 Your job is to speak out on the things that make for solid doctrine. NIV 1 You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. MSG 2 Guide older men into lives of temperance, dignity, and wisdom, into healthy faith, love, and endurance. NIV 2 Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. MSG 3 Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. NIV 3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. MSG 4 By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, NIV 4 Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, MSG 5 be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives. We don't want anyone looking down on God's Message because of their behavior. NIV 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. MSG 6 Also, guide the young men to live disciplined lives. NIV 6 Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled.
