Psalm 47 (New International Version)

1 Clap your hands,1 all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.2 2 How awesome3 is the LORD Most High,4 the great King5 over all the earth! 3 He subdued6 nations under us, peoples under our feet. 4 He chose our inheritance7 for us, the pride of Jacob,8 whom he loved. "Selah" 5 God has ascended9 amid shouts of joy,10 the LORD amid the sounding of trumpets.11 6 Sing praises12 to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. 7 For God is the King of all the earth;13 sing to him a psalma14 of praise. 8 God reigns15 over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne.16 9 The nobles of the nations assemble as the people of the God of Abraham, for the kingsb of the earth belong to God;17 he is greatly exalted.18Scripture quoted by permission.
