I remembered my songs in the night. My heart mused and my spirit inquired:

"Will the Lord reject forever?1 Will he never show his favor2 again?

Has his unfailing love3 vanished forever? Has his promise4 failed for all time?

Has God forgotten to be merciful?5 Has he in anger withheld his compassion?6" "Selah"

Then I thought, "To this I will appeal: the years of the right hand7 of the Most High."

I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles8 of long ago.

I will meditate9 on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds.10

Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God?11
14
You are the God who performs miracles;12 you display your power among the peoples.

With your mighty arm you redeemed your people,13 the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. "Selah"
16
The waters14 saw you, O God, the waters saw you and writhed;15 the very depths were convulsed.
