Bible Verses About Revenge
The Bible is very clear on our role with seeking revenge. In Romans 12:19, God tells us to never take revenge and to leave it to the Lord. God is the ultimate judge and when we seek revenge, we are taking His place. When we become overwhelmed with what others have done wrong, we become filled with anger and find ourselves focused on hate. God's love and forgiveness is seen in our ability to love and forgive. 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
11 Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
