3 Solomon sent this message to Hirama king of Tyre: “Send me cedar logs as you did for my father David when you sent him cedar to build a palace to live in.

The same with Hiram, ( 1 Kings 5:1 ) and from whence it appears, that Huram first sent a letter to Solomon to congratulate him on his accession to the throne, which is not taken notice of here:

as thou didst deal with my father, and didst send him cedars to
build him an house to dwell therein;
see ( 1 Chronicles 14:1 ) , even so deal with me; which words are a supplement.
