Hezekiah sent word to all Israel and Judah and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, inviting them to come to the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem and celebrate the Passover to the LORD, the God of Israel.

nation, had consulted together: to keep the passover in the
in the month Ijar, as the Targum, because they could not keep it
in the first month, as it should have been kept, according to the
law of God, for the reasons following.
