The Bruised Reed is a book by Richard Sibbes that comforts the despondent and fearful Christian using the words of Matthew 12:20 (which quotes Isaiah), "A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out." Many Christians have found this book to be remedy to doubt and burden.
