The 70 weeks in Daniel are one of the most important prophecies to study in the Old Testament. One reason is because it ties together so many other prophetic words we find in Scripture and helps us to see how God brings about what he declares in his word. 

I used to complain about people who stubbornly held on to their favorite translations and refused to look at others. What I didn’t realize is I was becoming one of those people sticking primarily to two translations. While I must admit I will always have my preference in which translations to use, I would recommend the ESV as a strong candidate to consider for your own reading and study if you are looking for a solid Bible translation.

The Bible puts great emphasis on the mind and how it affects your life. If you have any desire to be the man or woman God desires you to be, then you must understand how important a role your mind is going to play in that.

What we need from all believers, but especially those who are in the spotlight, is an acknowledgement of their humanity. A recognition they are not the special ones, but Jesus is. However, this is a two-sided solution because we must stop looking at them more highly than we ought to. 

Sometimes you must wait for God to answer your prayer or change your situation, and your impatience doesn’t speed God up. So rather than frustrate yourself or leave the line, I want you to remember some things to do when you are waiting on God. One common theme for the pestilence we see in Scripture that you must not overlook is pestilence or plague has a divine origin, meaning it was God’s direct intention to bring the pestilence for a specific purpose which most often was some form of judgment.

How are we as Christians measuring success and how does this align with God’s view of success? Could it be possible we are falling victim to the same trapping of success that those who don’t know Jesus are falling victim to? 

There is nothing wrong with acknowledging or even giving honor to a leader, but sometimes it just gets carried too far. Whenever we do anything that makes a person seem bigger than, higher than, or more important than anyone else, we are slipping into the territory of worshipping the servant instead of the master. 

Since Adam and Eve decided it was a good idea to eat a piece of fruit, we have been dealing with this problem of sin. Because you cannot escape this, you should know the way sin works, because the same way it tempted Adam and Eve, it has been tempting humanity ever since.

I want to give you four truths about sin that you must never forget. To do this, we are going to look at three different people in the Bible and see how sin affected their lives. The goal is the next time you are facing temptation, these truths will resonate in your heart and mind.

Has this ever happened to you? You go before God, seeking him in prayer, believing with all your heart for the answer. You fast and pray and do everything you know to do. After doing all this, God still does not answer your prayer the way you want him to. Naturally, your first instinct is to ask questions. Usually, they are questions of why didn’t God answer my prayer and what did I do wrong? These are valid questions.

While God answers prayer, there will be times when it seems like he is not answering your specific prayer. Should this happen to you, I want to give you seven reasons God does not answer all your prayers.

Every time you pray, you should walk away with God’s peace. Regardless of when or how God answers, he wants you to have peace after you pray, and he has promised to give it to you.

Enjoying Christ is all about the relationship you share with him, and if you miss this, then you miss it all. The fact is you have someone you can be completely transparent with, who knows everything thing about you good and bad, yet still desires to fellowship with you. This is truly amazing.

Epiphany is a holiday celebrated by many Christians around the world. The focus of Epiphany centers on two events in Jesus’ life. Mainly the Magi’s visit to Jesus when he was a baby and his baptism by John the Baptist.

The Bible is a prophetic book. Approximately thirty percent of the Bible was prophetic when the writer wrote it. These prophecies address events that have already happened and things still to come, such as end times prophecies. In Matthew 24, the disciples asked Jesus a question about the signs of his coming and of the end of the age. We have been studying his response for the last two thousand years. It seems every generation points to or considers their generation to be the one where Jesus will return. While it hasn’t happened yet, eventually one of those generations will be right.

Because prophecy is such an expansive topic, it is impossible to give you a full-fledged analysis of all Bible prophecy in one article. I can, however, give you a few things that will aid you in understanding end times Scriptures and prophecies in the Bible.
