The question of free will is probably a debate we will have until Jesus comes again. While you can find arguments on both sides of this question, this should not be our main mission or focus. We have a responsibility to preach the gospel and give people the opportunity to hear it and respond.

There is no such thing as a harmless form of witchcraft. This includes tarot cards, horoscopes, Ouija boards, or anything else that aligns with witchcraft, regardless of how unassuming it may seem. There is no harmless form of witchcraft. It is a deception that Satan uses to draw the unsuspecting in.

As you know, when you drive a car you cannot drive forward if all you do is look through the rearview mirror. Eventually you will crash. The rearview mirror is designed for you to peek into briefly. This is why it is so important that you deal with what happened in your yesterday correctly, so you can handle it from the right perspective and use it to propel you forward.

In our zeal for this to end and life to get back to “normal,” let’s be certain to remember those people. For a moment, can we take off our political hat, our skeptical hat, or whatever hat you want to wear and let’s take up the cross and consider this through the eyes of a compassionate, loving heavenly Father.

One of the best ways to study the Bible is to do it together as a group. The beauty of group study is accountability and motivation. The dynamics of the group can keep you on task and help you stay disciplined in reading the word consistently. Not only does this motivate, but you get the added benefit of learning from each other. So if you are not involved in a Bible study group, then it is highly recommended.

One of the difficulties, whether in a group or individual study, is trying to decide what to study from the Bible. With so many choices, it can become overwhelming and intimidating. Some people are so intimidated they just choose not to read or study anything, which obviously is not a good idea. To overcome the intimidation, I want to give you some ideas for Bible study topics for you or any group you might belong to.

To be the people God wants us to be, we must show self-control. But what does the Bible say about achieving that? What advice does it give about achieving self-control?

God loves you. That sounds good and simple enough, yet for many this is one of the hardest truths about God to grasp. Not because this is not true, but because we have not really come to grips with what the Bible says about God’s love for us. Once you understand the way he loves, this will transform your life, and more importantly, your relationship with him.

Knowing and understanding God’s love for us is quite possibly the most important quality of his to know. For this reason, I want you to take a few moments to understand what the Bible says about God’s love for us.

The heart impacts the soul. The soul impacts the mind, and when all three are combined it’s how we come to the place to truly love God.

The story of Michal is one that can be viewed from different perspectives. She was the youngest daughter of King Saul, and she was also David’s wife, then she wasn’t and then she was again. I know that seems confusing, but I will make it clear shortly.

As we look at her life, there are some great relationship lessons we can learn from Michal. In the Bible there are key moments in her life that give us important lessons about relationships and marriage. If you are in a relationship or considering getting married, then you may want to pay close attention to this article.

In the book of 1 Timothy, Paul is writing to this young pastor Timothy. As he gets towards the end of this letter, he gives Timothy these words of encouragement and instruction.

“But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness” (1 Timothy 6:11).

I love the fact that Paul addresses Timothy as man of God, which means if you consider yourself a man or woman of God, then Paul is speaking directly to you. With that, let’s outline the six things you need to be pursuing the rest of this year, and quite honestly every year. 

However, before I do, here is one simple word of advice. While yearly and lifetime pursuits are wonderful to put before you, remember they are accomplished one day at a time. So, as I lay out these pursuits, just know you can only pursue them one day at a time, and if you do that consistently they will compound throughout your life.

The beautiful thing about God is he has not changed. His promises have not changed either. He is still the promise keeper and most of all he can be trusted. Abraham trusted God’s promise and though he didn’t live to see the fulfillment of everything God said, his faith set in motion the plan of God to be fulfilled. I encourage you today to be like Abraham and trust God’s promise.

When you ask the question who is Jeroboam in the Bible, the first question you must ask is which one? In the history of the kings of Israel in the Old Testament, you will find two kings who were named Jeroboam.

There is not one person who has ever done anything in life who can say with honesty they got there all on their own. Somebody helped them along the way. In your life, think of the people who have had an impact in your life, your walk with God, your ministry, who have helped you get where you are. Are you thanking God every time you remember these people?

“Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ” (Philippians 1:27).

From time to time, it is good to be challenged in how we are thinking, how we are living and honestly what we are doing. This verse, if you let it sink in, does just that. It should cause you to ask how do you conduct yourself in a manner that is worthy of the gospel of Christ? Here are some questions you can ask yourself that will help you answer the question and see how you measure up.
