Music can often speak to us in ways other things can’t. It’s a beautiful gift from God. Even if you aren’t gifted in creating music yourself (like me), you’re sure to have experienced a song that moved you.
This is certainly true for music that focuses around God, his character, his Church, and the Christian life. In these challenging times, hymns can be a comfort, a challenge, and a reminder of God’s faithfulness.
In the book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul even urges Christians to “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:19, Berean Study Bible).
