God Leads Us Towards Truth

Pray and ask for the Spirit to guide you. Whatever we ask is promised to be heard by God (1 John 5:14-15). If we want guidance, we have to take the time to ask for it. God, our Good Father, so graciously honors our prayers.

Spirit of Truth, we ask that you would guide us on this parenting journey. Nowadays, truth can feel fickle and hard to grasp but we thank you that you promise to gently lead us towards all truth. You speak to us and show us what is to come by grace. Help our kids to be rooted and grounded in your truth filled Word. Be an anchor to our homes in an untethered world. Remind us that your truth is always shared with kindness and love. Show us how to speak truth with love in every season. Give us the discipline we need to be parents who remain connected to your Spirit through worship, the Word, and prayer. We need you so very much as we lead our families closer to you. Amen.

Discuss in your home what truth is and how it can be found in today's fast-changing world.

How have you seen God’s Spirit gently lead you towards truth as a family?

What can you do to be a better model of God’s love and truth in your home?

How can you be intentional about being connected to the Spirit of Truth as a parent?
