1 Corinthians 16:7

For I will not see you now by the way
Just to look upon them, and be gone, be like a wayfaring man that tarries but for a night:

but I trust to tarry a while with you;
the whole winter season:

if the Lord permit;
submitting all to the will of God, at whose sovereign disposal he always was, and at whose beck and command he desired to be, and to do nothing, or be any where, but what was agreeable to the will of God.

5 Iré a vosotros cuando haya pasado por Macedonia (pues voy a pasar por Macedonia),
6 y tal vez me quede con vosotros, o aun pase allí el invierno, para que me encaminéis adonde haya de ir.
7 Pues no deseo veros ahora sólo de paso, porque espero permanecer con vosotros por algún tiempo, si el Señor me lo permite.
8 Pero me quedaré en Efeso hasta Pentecostés;
9 porque se me ha abierto una puerta grande para el servicio eficaz, y hay muchos adversarios.
