1 Chronicles 22:4

Also cedar trees in abundance
To be sawed into boards and planks for the cieling, wainscotting, and flooring of the temple, and other things:

for the Zidonians, and they of Tyre, brought much cedar wood to David;
from Mount Lebanon, which was chiefly in their possession; and which they did either of themselves as a free gift and present to him, or at his request, for which he paid them; and this is another thing prefiguring the help of the Gentiles in building up the church of Christ in Gospel times.

2 Y dio órdenes David de reunir a los extranjeros que estaban en la tierra de Israel, y designó canteros para labrar piedras para edificar la casa de Dios.
3 Preparó David grandes cantidades de hierro para hacer clavos para las puertas de la entrada y para las grapas, y más bronce del que podía pesarse;
4 y madera de cedro incalculable, porque los sidonios y los tirios trajeron grandes cantidades de madera de cedro a David.
5 Y dijo David: Mi hijo Salomón es joven y sin experiencia, y la casa que ha de edificarse al SEÑOR será de gran magnificencia, de renombre y de gloria por todas las tierras. Por tanto haré preparativos para ella. Y David hizo grandes preparativos antes de su muerte.
6 Entonces llamó a su hijo Salomón, y le encargó que edificara una casa al SEÑOR, Dios de Israel.
