25 Pero traicionaron al Dios de sus padres, y se prostituyeron con los dioses de los pueblos de la tierra, los cuales Dios había destruido delante de ellos.

1 Chronicles 5:25

And they transgressed against the God their fathers
Against his law, will, word, and ordinances, not only the half tribe of Manasseh, hut the Reubenites and Gadites also:

and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God
destroyed before them;
that is, committed idolatry, which is spiritual fornication or whoredom; worshipped the idols either of the Amorites, who were destroyed by the Lord to make way for their first settlement; or of the Ishmaelites, whom they conquered, and whose land they dwelt in to the captivity.

23 Los hijos de la media tribu de Manasés habitaron en la tierra; eran muy numerosos desde Basán hasta Baal-hermón, Senir y el monte Hermón.

24 Y estos fueron los jefes de sus casas paternas: Efer, Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremías, Hodavías y Jahdiel, hombres fuertes de gran valor, hombres de renombre, jefes de sus casas paternas.

25 Pero traicionaron al Dios de sus padres, y se prostituyeron con los dioses de los pueblos de la tierra, los cuales Dios había destruido delante de ellos.

26 Por lo cual el Dios de Israel movió el espíritu de Pul, rey de Asiria, y el espíritu de Tilgat-pilneser, rey de Asiria, y los llevó al destierro, es decir, a los rubenitas, a los gaditas y a la media tribu de Manasés, y los llevó a Halah, a Habor, a Hara y al río de Gozán, hasta el día de hoy.
