1 Kings 3:2

Only the people sacrificed in high places
On the tops of their houses, on hills and mountains, and particularly at the high place in Gibeon, where the tabernacle was:

because there was no house built unto the name of the Lord until those
days;
to which they were obliged to repair as afterwards, and there offer their sacrifices, as the Lord had commanded, ( Deuteronomy 12:5 Deuteronomy 12:6 ) .

1 Salom贸n se emparent贸 con Fara贸n, rey de Egipto, pues tom贸 la hija de Fara贸n y la trajo a la ciudad de David mientras acababa de edificar su casa, la casa del SE脩OR y la muralla alrededor de Jerusal茅n.
2 S贸lo que el pueblo sacrificaba en los lugares altos, porque en aquellos d铆as a煤n no se hab铆a edificado casa al nombre del SE脩OR.
3 Salom贸n amaba al SE脩OR, andando en los estatutos de su padre David, aunque sacrificaba y quemaba incienso en los lugares altos.
4 El rey fue a Gaba贸n a sacrificar all铆, porque ese era el lugar alto principal. Salom贸n ofreci贸 mil holocaustos sobre ese altar.
5 Y en Gaba贸n el SE脩OR se apareci贸 a Salom贸n de noche en sue帽os, y Dios le dijo: Pide lo que quieras que yo te d茅.
