10 Para que no se derrame sangre inocente en medio de tu tierra que el SEÑOR tu Dios te da por heredad, y seas culpable de derramar sangre.

Deuteronomy 19:10

That innocent blood be not shed
As it would be if such a slayer as before described was killed by the avenger of blood, before he could get to one of these cities of refuge, or supposing that they had not bean appointed, or a sufficient number of them:

which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance;
to be enjoyed by them and their children after them, provided they did not defile it by their sins, but observed the commands of the Lord to obey them and

so blood be upon thee;
the guilt of innocent blood crying for vengeance, as would be the case if such a man's blood was shed as before described; it seems as if the guilt would rather affect the whole land, for not having a proper provision of "asylums" for such persons, than the avenger of blood.

8 Y si el SEÑOR tu Dios ensancha tu territorio, como ha jurado a tus padres, y te da toda la tierra que ha prometido dar a tus padres

9 (si guardas cuidadosamente todos estos mandamientos que te mando hoy, de amar al SEÑOR tu Dios y de andar siempre en sus caminos), entonces te añadirás tres ciudades más, además de estas tres.

10 Para que no se derrame sangre inocente en medio de tu tierra que el SEÑOR tu Dios te da por heredad, y seas culpable de derramar sangre.

11 Pero si hay un hombre que odia a su prójimo, y acechándolo, se levanta contra él, lo hiere, y éste muere, y después él huye a una de estas ciudades,

12 entonces los ancianos de su ciudad enviarán a sacarlo de allí, y lo entregarán en mano del vengador de la sangre para que muera.
