Deuteronomio 2:18 Meaning and Commentary

Deuteronomy 2:18

Thou art to pass over through Ar
That is, over the river Arnon, by the city Ar of Moab, which was situated by it; see ( Deuteronomy 2:9 ) and so Moses and the people of Israel were to pass along by that,

and by the coast of Moab;
for they were not admitted to enter the land and pass through it; only to travel on the borders of it, and that they were to begin to do this day; the day the Lord spake to Moses.

16 Y aconteció que cuando todos los hombres de guerra habían ya perecido de entre el pueblo,
17 el SEÑOR me habló, diciendo:
18 "Tú cruzarás hoy por Ar la frontera de Moab.
19 "Y cuando llegues frente a los hijos de Amón, no los molestes ni los provoques, porque no te daré nada de la tierra de los hijos de Amón en posesión, pues se la he dado a los hijos de Lot por heredad."
20 (Es también conocida como la tierra de los gigantes, porque antiguamente habitaban en ella gigantes, a los que los amonitas llaman zomzomeos,
