22 Y escribió Moisés este cántico aquel mismo día, y lo enseñó a los hijos de Israel.

Deuteronomy 31:22

Moses therefore wrote this song the same day
The same day it was dictated to him by divine inspiration; he wrote it, as Josephus says ^F4,

``in hexameter verse, which he left in the holy Bible or book (the Pentateuch), containing (as he adds) a prophecy of things future, according to which all things have been done, and are done; and in nothing of it has he erred from the truth;''

which is a very just account of it, and worthy of observation:

and taught it the children of Israel;
instructed them in the meaning of it, directed them to repeat it frequently, to lay it up in their memories, and often meditate upon it; as being a divine composition, and of great importance, as the consideration of it will make appear.

20 Porque cuando yo los introduzca en la tierra que mana leche y miel, la cual juré a sus padres, y ellos coman y se sacien y prosperen, se volverán a otros dioses y los servirán, y me despreciarán y quebrantarán mi pacto.

21 Sucederá entonces que cuando muchos males y tribulaciones vengan sobre ellos, este cántico declarará contra ellos como testigo (pues no lo olvidarán los labios de sus descendientes); porque yo conozco el plan que ahora están urdiendo antes de que los traiga a la tierra que juré darles.

22 Y escribió Moisés este cántico aquel mismo día, y lo enseñó a los hijos de Israel.

23 Entonces El nombró a Josué, hijo de Nun, y le dijo: Sé fuerte y valiente, pues tú llevarás a los hijos de Israel a la tierra que les he jurado, y yo estaré contigo.

24 Y sucedió que cuando Moisés terminó de escribir las palabras de esta ley en un libro, hasta su conclusión,
