10 pero al que le odia le da el pago en su misma cara, destruyéndolo; y no se tarda en castigar al que le odia, en su misma cara le dará el pago.

Deuteronomy 7:10

And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy
them
Openly, publicly, and at once, they not being able to make any resistance. Onkelos interprets it in their lifetime, and so Jarchi which agrees with the Targums of Jonathan and Jerusalem: "or to his face"; ^F6 the face of God; that is, he will punish them that hate him to his face, who are audacious, bold, impudent sinners; sinners before the Lord, as the men of Sodom were, ( Genesis 13:13 ) ,

he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his
face;
not defer the execution of his judgment and vengeance, which may seem to slumber and linger, but will quickly and openly bring it upon the sinner; this also the Chaldee paraphrases explain as before.

8 mas porque el SEÑOR os amó y guardó el juramento que hizo a vuestros padres, el SEÑOR os sacó con mano fuerte y os redimió de casa de servidumbre, de la mano de Faraón, rey de Egipto.

9 Reconoce, pues, que el SEÑOR tu Dios es Dios, el Dios fiel, que guarda su pacto y su misericordia hasta mil generaciones con aquellos que le aman y guardan sus mandamientos;

10 pero al que le odia le da el pago en su misma cara, destruyéndolo; y no se tarda en castigar al que le odia, en su misma cara le dará el pago.

11 Guarda, por tanto, el mandamiento y los estatutos y los juicios que yo te mando hoy, para ponerlos por obra.

12 Y sucederá que porque escuchas estos juicios y los guardas y los pones por obra, el SEÑOR tu Dios guardará su pacto contigo y su misericordia que juró a tus padres.
