Ester 8:5

5 y dijo: Si le place al rey, y si he hallado gracia delante de 茅l, si el asunto le parece bien al rey y yo soy grata ante sus ojos, que se escriba para revocar las cartas concebidas por Am谩n, hijo de Hamedata, agagueo, las cuales escribi贸 para destruir a los jud铆os que est谩n en todas las provincias del rey.

Esther 8:5

And said, if it please the king, and if I have found favour in
his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing
in his eyes
This heap of phrases, which signify much the same thing, are used to work upon the king's affections, and to show how submissive she was to his will:

let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of
Hammedatha, the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which
are in all the king's provinces.
She wisely takes no notice of any concern the king had in them, but suggests as that she looked upon them as forged by Haman, who put the king's name and seal to them, without his knowledge and consent.

3 Ester habl贸 de nuevo delante del rey, cay贸 a sus pies, y llorando, le implor贸 que impidiera los prop贸sitos perversos de Am谩n agagueo y el plan que hab铆a tramado contra los jud铆os.
4 Extendi贸 el rey hacia Ester el cetro de oro, y Ester se levant贸 y se puso delante del rey,
5 y dijo: Si le place al rey, y si he hallado gracia delante de 茅l, si el asunto le parece bien al rey y yo soy grata ante sus ojos, que se escriba para revocar las cartas concebidas por Am谩n, hijo de Hamedata, agagueo, las cuales escribi贸 para destruir a los jud铆os que est谩n en todas las provincias del rey.
6 Porque 驴c贸mo podr铆a yo ver la calamidad que caer铆a sobre mi pueblo? 驴C贸mo podr铆a yo ver la destrucci贸n de mi gente?
7 Entonces el rey Asuero dijo a la reina Ester y al jud铆o Mardoqueo: He aqu铆, he dado a Ester la casa de Am谩n, y a 茅l le han colgado en la horca porque extendi贸 su mano contra los jud铆os.
