18 'Luego atravesaron el desierto y rodearon la tierra de Edom y de Moab, llegaron al lado oriental de la tierra de Moab y acamparon al otro lado del Arnón; pero no entraron en el territorio de Moab, porque el Arnón era la frontera de Moab.

Judges 11:18

Then they went along the wilderness
The wilderness of Paran, which lay along the borders of Edom; they went, according to Jarchi, from the west to the east on the south border of Edom and Moab:

and compassed the land of Edom, and the land of Moab;
all the south of the land of Edom, and all the south of the land of Moab; towards the sunrising, as in ( Numbers 21:11 )

and pitched on the other side of Arnon;
the river Arnon, which, according to Jarchi, was at the east end of the land of Moab, where began the country of Sihon and Og:

but came not within the border of Moab;
so far were they from attempting to take away any part of that land from the king of it, though ill treated by him:

for Arnon was the border of Moab;
which divided between Moab and the Amorites, ( Numbers 21:13 ) .

16 "Porque cuando subieron de Egipto, e Israel pasó por el desierto hasta el mar Rojo y llegó a Cades,

17 Israel envió mensajeros al rey de Edom, diciendo: "Permítenos, te rogamos, pasar por tu tierra', pero el rey de Edom no les escuchó. También enviaron mensajeros al rey de Moab pero él no consintió, así que Israel permaneció en Cades.

19 'Y envió Israel mensajeros a Sehón, rey de los amorreos, rey de Hesbón, y le dijo Israel: 'Permítenos, te rogamos, pasar por tu tierra a nuestro lugar.'

20 "Pero Sehón no confió en Israel para darle paso por su territorio; reunió, pues, Sehón a todo su pueblo y acampó en Jahaza, y peleó contra Israel.
