Judges 8:4

And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over.
&c.] That river; (See Gill on Judges 7:25) he and three hundred men that were with him, at the defeat of the Midianites in the valley of Jezreel; so that neither at that nor in the pursuit of them hitherto, had he lost one man:

faint, yet pursuing [them]:
they were faint with being up all night, and continually blowing their trumpets; and had been upon the pursuit of their enemies ever since the defeat; and yet, though they were so faint, they did not leave off the pursuit, but were eager at it.

2 Pero él les dijo: ¿Qué he hecho yo ahora en comparación con vosotros? ¿No es mejor el rebusco de Efraín que la vendimia de Abiezer?
3 Dios ha entregado en vuestras manos a los jefes de Madián, Oreb y Zeeb; ¿y qué pude hacer yo en comparación con vosotros? Entonces se aplacó la ira de ellos contra él cuando dijo esto.
4 Gedeón y los trescientos hombres que iban con él llegaron al Jordán y lo cruzaron, cansados, mas continuando la persecución.
5 Y dijo a los hombres de Sucot: Os ruego que deis pan a la gente que me sigue, porque están cansados, y estoy persiguiendo a Zeba y a Zalmuna, reyes de Madián.
6 Y los jefes de Sucot dijeron: ¿Están ya las manos de Zeba y Zalmuna en tu poder, para que demos pan a tu ejército?
