7 Y los hijos de Israel hicieron lo malo ante los ojos del SE脩OR, y olvidaron al SE脩OR su Dios, y sirvieron a los baales y a las im谩genes de Asera .
8 Entonces se encendi贸 la ira del SE脩OR contra Israel, y los vendi贸 en manos de Cus谩n-risataim, rey de Mesopotamia ; y los hijos de Israel sirvieron a Cus谩n-risataim por ocho a帽os.
9 Cuando los hijos de Israel clamaron al SE脩OR, el SE脩OR levant贸 un libertador a los hijos de Israel para que los librara, a Otoniel, hijo de Cenaz, hermano menor de Caleb.
10 Y vino sobre 茅l el Esp铆ritu del SE脩OR, y juzg贸 a Israel. Cuando sali贸 a la guerra, el SE脩OR entreg贸 en su mano a Cus谩n-risataim, rey de Mesopotamia, y su poder prevaleci贸 sobre Cus谩n-risataim.
11 Y la tierra tuvo descanso por cuarenta a帽os. Y muri贸 Otoniel, hijo de Cenaz.

INTRODUCTION TO JUDGES 3

This chapter gives an account of the nations left in Canaan to prove Israel, and who became a snare unto them, Jud 3:1-7; and of the servitude of Israel under the king of Mesopotamia for their sins, from which they were delivered by Othniel, Jud 3:8-11; and of their subjection to the Moabites, from which they were freed by Ehud, who privately assassinated the king of Moab, and then made his escape, Jud 3:12-30; and of the destruction of a large number of Philistines by Shamgar, with an ox goad, Jud 3:31.
