Leviticus 13:18

The flesh also, in which, [even] in the skin thereof, was a
boil
Or hot ulcer, by which, says Maimonides ^F14 you may understand any stroke by a stone, stick, or iron, or any other thing: and in the Misnah ^F15, it is asked, what is an ulcer (or boil)? a stroke by wood, stone, pitch, or hot water; all that is from the force of fire is an ulcer: and is healed;
by the use of medicine, and the part, in all appearance, as well and as sound as ever.

16 Mas si la carne viva cambia nuevamente y se vuelve blanca, entonces vendrá al sacerdote,

17 y el sacerdote lo mirará, y he aquí, si la infección se ha vuelto blanca, el sacerdote declarará limpio al que tenía la infección; limpio es.

18 Cuando el cuerpo tenga una úlcera en su piel, y se sane,

19 y en el lugar de la úlcera haya hinchazón blanca, o una mancha lustrosa, blanca rojiza, será mostrada al sacerdote,

20 y el sacerdote la examinará, y he aquí, si parece estar a un nivel más bajo que la piel y su pelo se ha vuelto blanco, el sacerdote lo declarará inmundo; es infección de lepra, ha brotado en la úlcera.
