3 La puerta del Pescado la edificaron los hijos de Senaa; colocaron sus vigas y asentaron sus hojas, sus cerrojos y sus barras.

Nehemiah 3:3

But the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build
So called, because fish was brought from the sea coasts through it, and near it was the fish market; this also was southward, according to Dr. Lightfoot ^F24; others say northward; some say it led to the sea of Galilee, Jordan, and all the east and north country: but it is most likely to be westward towards the Mediterranean sea, Tyre, and Joppa, from whence fish were brought; and Rauwolff says ^F25 it is still standing towards the west, behind Mount Sion, and over against Mount Gihon, see ( 2 Chronicles 33:14 ) he also says, this gate was called the gate of Hebron, because the road of Hebron went through it, which is about seven or eight hours' walking distant from it:

who also laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the
locks thereof, and the bars thereof;
completely finished it.

1 Entonces el sumo sacerdote Eliasib se levantó con sus hermanos los sacerdotes y edificaron la puerta de las Ovejas; la consagraron y asentaron sus hojas. Consagraron la muralla hasta la torre de los Cien y hasta la torre de Hananeel.

2 Y junto a él edificaron los hombres de Jericó, y a su lado edificó Zacur, hijo de Imri.

3 La puerta del Pescado la edificaron los hijos de Senaa; colocaron sus vigas y asentaron sus hojas, sus cerrojos y sus barras.

4 Y junto a ellos hizo reparaciones Meremot, hijo de Urías, hijo de Cos. A su lado hizo reparaciones Mesulam, hijo de Berequías, hijo de Mesezabeel; y junto a éste hizo reparaciones Sadoc, hijo de Baana.

5 A su lado hicieron también reparaciones los tecoítas, pero sus nobles no apoyaron la obra de sus señores.
