âFor this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,

and the two will become one flesh.â So they are no longer two, but one flesh.

Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.â

When they were back inside the house, the disciples asked Jesus about this matter.

So He told them, âWhoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.
