20 Ahaz died and was buried with his ancestors in David's City. His son Hezekiah succeeded him as king.

2 Kings 16:20

And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his
fathers in the city of David
But not in the sepulchres of the kings of Israel, as David and Solomon, he being such a wicked prince, ( 2 Chronicles 28:27 )

and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead;
of whom much is said in the following part of this history.
