Matthew 28:16-20

Listen to Matthew 28:16-20

Commissioning of the disciples

16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus told them to go.
17 When they saw him, they worshipped him, but some doubted.
18 Jesus came near and spoke to them, " I've received all authority in heaven and on earth.
19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to obey everything that I've commanded you. Look, I myself will be with you every day until the end of this present age."

It’s been well said that, “Whatever God calls us to do, He will give the ability to do it!"  If that’s so then why is so much of what He’s called us to do still left undone? In Matthew 28 we run across the great commission. If you were with us last time you’ll remember Jesus gave His disciples the authority needed to fulfill this high and holy calling. And we’ll begin today with the authority given to us for access to God by prayer.
