The book of Micah is a collection of Micah’s messages. In the first three chapters, Micah announces the coming judgment; in the fourth and fifth chapters, he describes Israel’s future restoration; and in the last two chapters he calls on the people to repent. Judgment was certain because of the unfaithfulness of the people; restoration was certain because of the faithfulness of God. And connecting the two was the response of the people to God’s word: those who repented would be blessed; those who did not would be condemned.
