8:9 Why does Heb 8:9 (“I showed no concern for them”) not match Jr 31:32 (“I took them by the hand”), which the author is quoting? The NT writer of Hebrews simply cited the Septuagint (the Gk translation of the OT) instead of the Hebrew Bible. When he did, it became part of Scripture.
