TWISTED SCRIPTURE | 2 Corinthians 13:13 |
Some new religious movements believe the Holy Spirit to be nothing more than the active force of God in the world rather than the third person of the Trinity. Two examples of this are Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Gospel Assembly Church / Christian Assembly Church. This verse places the Father, Son, and Spirit on equal footing and gives them the attributes of providing grace, love, and fellowship to believers. Only persons can bestow grace, love, and fellowship to other persons. Active, though impersonal, forces do not have this ability.
