Silver amulet scroll containing the blessing Moses gave to Aaron and his sons to use in blessing Israel

Silver amulet scroll containing the blessing Moses gave to Aaron and his sons to use in blessing Israel: “May the Lord bless you and protect you; may the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the Lord look with favor on you and give you peace” (Nm 6:24-26). This artifact contains the oldest known copy of Scripture portions, dating to the late seventh or early sixth centuries BC. The silver scroll was found August 4, 1979 by Judith Hadley who was then an archaeology student at Wheaton College working as part of an excavation let by Israeli archaeologist Gabriel Barkay. Dr. Hadley is now Associate Professor of Theology and Religious Studies, Villanova University.
