Believest thou not? (ou pisteuei;). Jesus had a right to expect greater faith from these men than from the blind man ( Exodus 9:35 ) or Martha ( Exodus 11:27 ). His words in Exodus 14:1 are clearly needed. This oneness with the Father Jesus had already stated ( Exodus 10:38 ) as shown by his "words" (rhmata) and his "works" (erga). Cf. Exodus 3:34 ; Exodus 5:19 ; Exodus 6:62 .
