13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

Zech. 13 now returns to the subject of Zechariah 12:10 . Zechariah 13:8 Zechariah 13:9 refer to the sufferings of the remnant ; Isaiah 1:9 ; Romans 11:5 preceding the great battle. Zech. 14. is a recapitulation of the whole matter. The order is:
(1) The gathering of the nation, Zechariah 13:2 (see "Armageddon," Revelation 16:14 (See Scofield "Revelation 19:11")
(2) the deliverance, Zechariah 13:3 ;
(3) the return of Christ to the Mount of Olives, and the physical change of the scene, Zechariah 13:4-8 ;
(4) the setting up of the kingdom, and full earthly blessing, Zechariah 13:9-21 .
