Jehoiakim, first subdued by Nebuchadnezzar, then rebelling against him, procures his own ruin.
Jehoiachin succeeds him.
The king of Egypt is vanquished by the king of Babylon.
Jehoiachin's evil reign.
10 Jerusalem is taken and carried captive into Babylon.
17 Zedekiah is made king, and reigns ill, unto the utter destruction of Judah.

And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt.
