And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.

The Hebrew, {asereth monim,} is literally, as Aquila renders, "ten numbers;" and Symmachus, "ten times in number;" which
probably implies an indefinite number: see ver 41.
