I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

Or, "A psalm or song of David, at the dedication of the house;" by which is supposed to be meant the place he built on the threshing floor of Araunah, after the grievous plague which had nearly desolated the kingdom.
